There is a choice of two routes:

1) Callander to Balquhidder:
A nice level cycling route along Loch Lubnaig and via Strathyre with a refreshments stop involving plenty of home baking! Once you reach Balquhidder, its back to Callander by the same route. In total this is about 28 miles of cycling, but if this sounds too far, some cyclists turn around at Strathyre for a gentler 15-mile ride. With its start around 10.30am, this is a family route suitable for children and takes around 4-5 hours in total. The ride includes a visit to the church where Rob Roy McGregor is buried.

2) Callander to Killin:
For something a little more challenging you can carry on once you reach Balquhidder climbing up to Glen Ogle before heading down into Killin. This has sections along the road and, including the return journey, is about 50 miles and starts at 10am.

Join Guide Dogs to celebrate an extra special 10^th Anniversary of the Coniston Adventure Team Challenge on 8 September 2012.

We have a fun packed weekend planned for you, your friends, family and work colleagues. Between being dazzled by fire jugglers, spinning carousels, candy floss and balloons you and your team members have the opportunity to take part in an exciting adventure team challenge.

Set in the heart of the beautiful Lake District, the Coniston Adventure Team Challenge offers a multi disciplined event consisting of a hike, bike and kayak. In teams of 4 -6 you will hike to the summit of Coniston Old Man and enjoy the breathtaking views from the top. Bike through the forest of Grizedale. Kayak a glorious course on Coniston Water and climb and slide on our brand new Wall of Wonder! Breakfast, lunch and hot drinks are provided to all team members throughout the day.

The event will run from John Ruskin School in Coniston and all teams have the opportunity to camp in the school grounds over the weekend to take full advantage of this exciting experience. Discover the dramatic mountain landscape of Scotland and Ireland�s rolling green countryside as you cycle along the 220 mile route from Edinburgh to Dublin.

This three day cycling adventure will take you from capital to capital, on your first day taking you through quiet country lanes from Edinburgh to Troon, where you\'ll catch a ferry to Larne for an overnight rest. Savour the beauty of the east coast of Ireland and absorb the stunning landscapes as you ride south towards Banbrige and a stay in Newry before continuing along the coast further south to Dublin on Day Three.

The event has been designed to accommodate different levels of cyclist � so you can work at your own pace but no matter how much of a challenge you make this, the sense of achievement when you reach your champagne reception in Dublin will never be forgotten. Round off the night with a celebration dinner (and maybe a pint of Guinness or two!). �You�ll even have a chance to enjoy the hustle and bustle of Dublin on Day Four before flying back to Edinburgh later that afternoon.

This is an extraordinary challenge with every mile you ride, and every penny you raise helping Marie Curie nurses to provide care and support to people with terminal cancer and other illnesses in their own homes, close to the people they love.

MUSIC IN THE PARK will be held on Saturday 9th June 2012 in the beautiful grounds of Wistow Hall. More details to follow shortly.

Last year people bought their own picnic and had a wonderful evening listening to music by Junction 21 (an 18 piece swing band) and culminating with \'The Last Night of the Proms\' by the award winning all female brass band \'Boobs & Brass\'. This was then followed by a fabulous firework display set to the 1812 Overture in front of Wistow Hall.

The date for next years concert will be on Saturday 9th June 2012. More details in due course.

June 29^th � 3^rd July 2012 see�s Marie Curie Cancer Care embark on a BRAND NEW overseas challenge, a 3 day horse trek across Spain�s Sierra Nevada.

Participants meet their horses in Burbion and ride through mountains to Trev�lez which is the highest village in Spain at an altitude of 1,700m, the trek continues towards the snowy peaks of the Sierra Nevada National Park.

With a limited number of places the charity is looking to raise vital funds to support Marie Curie Nurses nationally.
