It's easy. Register with Calendar Check when you will get your password. Go on to the "Charities" page and add your Charity to the database. If you are in the Charity's head office, a regional office or a branch office, that's fine as long as you have a Registered Charity Number and you specify, when asked, which you are, head office, regional office or a branch. Once you have uploaded your Charity's information, then you can add your events to the list by clicking "Submit an event".
Make sure you have all the details you want to publicise including the postcode of where the event is taking place. If you're not a Registered Charity, we can still publicise your event as long as you clearly state who the beneficiary Charity is going to be from the proceeds of your event and an email address of a representative of the nominated Charity. Click here for more details.
The best way is for you to let them know to look on Calendar Check. And, if they register on the site, we will send them notification of when the sort of event they are interested in is uploaded onto Calendar Check, so you've got a much better chance of getting to your regular supporters and a whole lot more who you never knew about.

Well, your supporter can register with Calendar Check letting us know what sort of events for which category of Charity they are interested in. Once they have registered, they can let us know how they would like to be notified of relevant events, by email, text, Facebook, Twitter and so on.If they don't want us to contact them, that's fine as well. When they visit the site, it will recognise them when they sign in and display events that they have previously stated they prefer. They can still access all the events on the site so they won't be missing out!

Cancer Research Campaign as it was in 1998 invited Karen (Committee Secretary) for an interview with a view to hosting a fund raising event at their hotel - Stirk House in Gisburn.
The first Lancashire County ball was held at the Stirk House Hotel in March 1998 and raised £10,000.00. As this event was a resounding success Cancer Research Campaign then urged Karen Weaving to continue to raise funds on their behalf and suggested a luncheon club. The first luncheon was held in September 1998 and immediately recruited over 400 members and raised £3,000.00.

Can You ‘HACK IT’ this Autumn in The Yorkshire Dales National Park?Stride out … and help stop child cruelty with the NSPCC
The NSPCC is calling on people in Yorkshire to dust off their walking boots and sign up for the NSPCC’s HACK – ‘Hike Against Cruelty to Kids’ – a 24 mile hiking challenge through some of the most stunning countryside in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, around Ingleborough.
The NSPCC’s North HACK takes place on 4 September 2010. The ‘Ingleborough Massif HACK’ is a 24-mile sponsored challenge walk that includes the Ingleborough Peak which stands at around 700 metres high. The National Park is the most popular outdoor area in the Yorkshire Dales with magnificent views and spectacular wildlife.
The HACK is a great way to start a keep fit campaign, and is an amazing challenge and experience. The HACK will be a fabulous day out in the great outdoors and a valuable opportunity to help the NSPCC. Money raised will be used to support NSPCC projects and services in Yorkshire and across the United Kingdom and Channel Islands.
There are limited places available for each walk. The registration fee is £15 and is for over 18s only. (£1 of the registration fee is being donated to the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority to help support path maintenance and enhancement in the Three peaks area of the national park). For further details and online registrations and payments, please log on to www.nspcc.org.uk/hack or contact the North NSPCC Appeals office Tel: 01132 299 324 or email northcanuhackit@nspcc.org.uk. Final registration date is 23 August 2010.
Go on and challenge yourself, your friends, family and work colleagues! Why not enter as a group for a team challenge or walk more than one?
Christine Saxon, NSPCC community fundraising manager, said: ”The HACK is a fantastic hiking challenge and offers people not only a great opportunity to get into training, but a rewarding physical challenge. Walkers will have some fun along the way, whilst helping to raise money for the invaluable work the NSPCC does to help vulnerable children and young people.”
The HACK challenge can be great fun, but is hard work . A 24 mile walk is a demanding physical challenge, and the NSPCC recommends people who register, undertake some training before hand. Average walkers should complete the walk comfortably within 12 hours with more experienced faster walkers aiming to complete the walk within eight hours. There will be checkpoints and marshals on route, with radio contact between all checkpoints and the control centre.
The terrain is very varied and suitable walking boots and clothing are recommended for all walkers. The HACK is open to people aged 18 years and over. No pets are permitted on the walk. Once the registration is complete, entrants will receive a walker’s pack outlining their start time and giving further details of the route. Participants can then begin collecting sponsorship pledges from friends, family and colleagues.
If you don’t fancy taking part in the walk, why not help out and volunteer to be a marshal on the day or help promote the walk in your region? Please contact the North NSPCC Appeals office Tel: 01132 299 324 or email northcanuhackit@nspcc.org.uk
